Our Expectations

First things first: there’s no such thing as a typical Premier Foods person. We relish having individuals from all walks of life sharing their perspectives and talent with us. But it’s this ‘talent’ word that’s so important to us. To maintain our position as the nation’s largest food producer, we expect every recruit to have the ability, passion and hunger to learn that will mark them out as future leaders of the business.

As for your degree, ideally you’ll have achieved a 2:1 in a Finance, Business or Accounting subject (but all disciplines are considered). And, because you’ll be interacting with many different colleagues, from a Factory Manager to a marketing professional, it’s important that you have strong communication skills and enjoy meeting all kinds of people.

As you’ll be stepping into a job with real responsibility straight away, you’ll also need the ability to hit your stride quickly and have the organisational skills to balance your studies with a challenging everyday role. We know it’s a lot to ask, but then if you don’t enjoy a challenge, this probably isn’t the place for you.
